Join our guides on a highlights tour of our Great Hall, Anglo-Saxon museum and Whisky Distillery. Though there won’t be time for the full tasting experience, each member of the group can take a dram away to try at home.

Ad Gefrin Great Hall, Museum, Distillery tour and tasting
Guided
Ideal for visitors with a little more time to spare.
Join our guides on a tour of the Great Hall and Collection and Distillery. You will be first shown into the Great Hall followed by a show around the museum’s collection before entering the distillery, finishing up with a dram on the viewing platform overlooking the Cask Store.

Group Size*
We can accommodate groups of more than 25 people by arrangement. Visitors will just need to be split into smaller groups upon arrival to enjoy the tours.
Tour Add-Ons
Exclusive early/late access to can be added to 1 hour-long packages for a one-off supplement. Prices will vary depending on group size from a single payment of £25 - £50.
Early Access – 9am-10am all year
Late Access – 5pm-6pm (Nov-Mar), 6pm-7pm (Apr-Oct)
Refreshments
Additional refreshments starting at £3.00 (tea, coffee) per person can be added to any package. Brunch, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Early evening dining can be arranged to be added on to any tours by negotiation.
Parking for Cars
There is ample car parking on site. We have 81 car-parking spaces including charging points for 6 electric vehicles and 3 accessible spaces. We also have lockable racks to accommodate 18 bicycles.
Mini-buses and Coach parking
After drop off at the front door, mini-buses and coaches must relocate to the Long Stay at the north end of Wooler High Street where there is ample coach parking. The Long Stay car park is well signposted from the A697 and is free to access. Drivers can arrange for reception to call them when their party is ready to re-embark.
Blue Badge Guides
Blue Badge Guides have free admission to the Great Hall, Museum and Distillery Tours on presentation of valid ID at Reception.
