Tyncen are our firkin-sized barrels, lovingly named after the Old English word for “little tub.”

Their smaller size means more contact between spirit and oak, creating beautifully rich flavours. The whisky breathes deeply through the oak, taking on depth, warmth, and complexity far beyond its size.

Every Tyncen is cared for by hand, and each has its own story to tell. You’ll taste the gentle echo of the barrels, the sweetness of the malt, and a hint of the wild landscape that surrounds our distillery.
