Our Spirits

Different spirits, same heartland – our suite of spirits are mastered from the same commitment, passion, and inspiration and are wholly of the place. 

The same landscape that drew ancient royalty to hold court and offer hospitality to peoples from around the world today gives us the finest malting barley and the purest Cheviot water with which to create our Single Malt Whisky. We want our whisky to be as palatable to the curious as to the connoisseur, to be shaped for sharing, and to be central to those moments of life that matter. Our Single Malt will be our hero spirit, an export product that will hold its own in international markets.

Our Terroir

As a location for a whisky distillery – ours couldn’t be better. The purest of water is brought up from a borehole beneath our feet; some of the finest malting barley is grown in fields within sight; Simpson’s Malt, the internationally renowned fifth generation malt company, is under 30 minutes away by road; the climate is all a distiller could wish for. 

The fertility of the valley will allow us to make the most of contemporary barley strains already so sought after north of the border, whilst exploring heritage barleys that might have been around in Anglo-Saxon times. Ultimately, we will be respectful of the traditional craft of creating great whisky – because that is what we are here to do.
