Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum and Whisky Distillery has one more special suprise tucked away from public view.

The Den at Ad Gefrin offers our guests the chance to gather with friends and family to enjoy our unique Northumbrian hospitality in a setting with added style and a touch of luxury. Our renowned high-quality wood and stone finishes, stunning lighting, and balcony with a river view, make this a unique destination in its own right. 

Offering a discreet bar, private facilities and its own finishing kitchen (with the option of a dedicated chef), this is a completely exclusive room within the wider venue. 

Whether it is for a drinks' reception by the warmth of the roaring fire, or for an exclusive dining experience, we can accommodate a variety of occasions. We have the flexibility to offer private dining for up to 25 people; a buffet style event for up to 50 people, or we can accommodate business conferences for up to 60.

What is more there is the added benefit of incorporating a tasting of our spirits into any event.
